Designation: Ph.D. Executive Chairman of the Board
Dr. Hahn joined Accu-Break as Executive Chairman of the Board in 2004. Previously, he was co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Andrx until its acquisition by Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in November 2006. Dr. Hahn was President of Andrx from 1993 until 2003, served as Chairman of the Board from 2002-03 and as acting CEO from 2001-02.
He is also a director of a number of public and private companies. From June 1990 until February 1993, Dr. Hahn was Vice President for Scientific Affairs of IVAX, where he was involved in the evaluation and licensing of product opportunities and was responsible for maintaining IVAX’s intellectual property. Previously, he was Vice President of Research at the pharmaceutical subsidiary of IVAX, Dr. Hahn was an associate professor at The Rockefeller University, an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a member of the Institute for steroid research at Montefiore Hospital, all in New York City. He received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Cornell University. Dr. Hahn received a B.S. with honors in chemistry from the City College of New York. He has authored or co-authored over sixty peer-reviewed scientific publications.
